Most common DVD or BD players on the market are not compatible with streaming media files, and it can not install other applications like personal computers to play. Streaming media files usually require a file conversion into standard video formats (DVD/ BD VIDEO), and so it can be compatible with the player. Another way to make it work is that you can convert the files into MP4 format, and save it in a USB Flash Drive. Most current LCD TVs have USB ports, and it usually support MP4 files.
